…в традиционный августовский банковский выходной на автодроме Бруклендз (Brooklands) прошли гонки, организованные автогоночным клубом Бруклендза (Brooklands Automobile Racing Club, BARC). Все 12 заездов прошли в традиционном формате гандикапа, однако в итоге три из них были отменены из-за дождя.

meeting Nash set out from the scratch mark to catch Bedford’s
Hillman, hopeful of maintaining his run of unbroken victories.
Alas, as he closed with Bedford after two laps and pulled out to
pass, the GN got in the slipstream of a larger car and worked
up to some 90mph, when it ran into a pool of rainwater and at
once spun round and round. It finished up by going backwards
through the Railway Straight fence, breaking Nash’s collarbone
and wrecking both chassis and body,
At the August meeting Bedford’s Hillman won a race after
Nash’s GN had crashed and was second in four others, while
Hawkes won with both Morgan and Lorraine.
